Can I send cash for registration payment and when is it due?
Only church checks and money orders will be accepted.  Please make check payable to GLAD Youth Ministries.  Registration must be POSTMARKED by the due date.

Is there a dress code?
Clothing MUST be appropriate for stage ministry.  Girls clothing must be modest and not, in any way, deemed inappropriate. Guys and Girls, during the course of ANY presentation, undergarments should NEVER be visible.  Please do not allow dress to be a negative factor in your ministry effectiveness.  LEADERS, please assist us in this effort to maintain modesty and a sense of ministerial dignity.  Remember, our purpose in Fine Arts is to help students discover and develop their gifts for ministry.  If you have questions, please contact our office.

Where can I find the district rules for Fine Arts?
We follow the same rules and guidelines initiated by the National Fine Arts office.  These rules can be found at www.faf.ag.org.  An official FAF rule booklet has been enclosed for your convenience. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO BE AWARE OF THE RULES IN YOUR SPECIFIC CATEGORIES.

Can young people from different churches form a group and participate together?
Only young people attending your church may participate together in any fine arts group presentation. However, those participating in group presentations in Kappa Tau can be from different churches (please see rules for more information).

Can someone participate in Fine Arts who is beyond High School?
Yes. Beginning this year, GLAD FAF will offer Kappa Tau. Kappa Tau is for young adults, ages 18-23, that are out of high school and in good standing with an A/G church or organization (Chi Alpha, University, College, etc.). For specific rules and categories available for Kappa Tau, please see kappatau.ag.org. Specify Kappa Tau on registration forms and applicable fees are the same as those of GLAD FAF participants.

Can secular music be used in a presentation?
No.  All music used in ANY category MUST be Christian in origin.

If I am only participating in a group category, is it necessary for me to send
an individual registration form?

Each participant in a group category MUST send an individual registration form and specify participating categories.

Do I have to register if I am not participating in Fine Arts?
No. At this time, we do not require non-participants to register.  Lodging and meal tickets, however, will be charged accordingly.

Can students be excused from school on Friday, April 23?
It is at the discretion of the school, whether or not to excuse the student for Fine Arts.  However, we can provide you a sample letter (available upon request) that can be tailored to your school, signed by the youth leader or pastor, as well as the parent, in order to be excused from school on the aforementioned date.
